Wiki Presentation Resources

I'll be in Syracuse this week to do a keynote and several workshops for the Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES. Specifically, I'll be doing Making IT Stick as the keynote, and then doing a short 3 hour intro into Web 2.o, entitled Igniting Student Achievement with Web 2.0. I finish with an all-day workshop on digital storytelling, including a component that focuses on Digital Storytelling 2.0 (you can never have enough 2.0's). Resources for each presentation, including resources from Slideshare.net, are found on each wiki. Feel free to use anything you find interesting.

Your post yesterday was a great reminder that we need to move beyond the tools and examine the real power of technology for learning. There's been a lot of conversation about the term "integration" over the past several months but I like the word "integral" instead. It puts us much closer to some of the work that resulted in the publication of Dimensions of Learning and Classroom Instruction That Works.

I work in Onondaga County and wish I could attend your sessions at the BOCES this week but since I can't I appreciate that you've shared your work online. Hope you enjoy your time in Central New York - the weather should be unusually pleasant while you're there.

Diane: thank you for your kind comments. I'm a big fan of Marzano's work, have you seen the new book that aligns technology to Classroom Instruction that Works? It's available from ASCD.

I'll also be at NYSCATE, so if you are attending, please stop by and say hello.

    David
